VERONAFIERE, organizer of VINITALY in Verona - the world's largest annual wine exhibition held in Verona every year and attracting over 4,200 exhibitors and wine producers world-wide - has chosen South Florida as the venue for one of their annual international events.

“Florida is one of the most dynamic markets in the United States with continuous growth as a wine consuming State”, said Marina Nedic, managing director of IEEM (International Event Exhibition Management) Miami, in charge of the event organization.

Vinitaly US Tour Miami is an annual event, now in its second edition, which allows Italian wine producers to tap into the commercial potential of the US, one of the most dynamic markets in the world, while enabling trade representatives, specialized media and high-end consumers from the area to sample some of the best of Italy’s wine production.

After an extremely successful first edition of the Vinitaly US Tour in Miami held in February 2008 and the sixth edition of the Vinitaly US Tour event in October (this year held in NY, Chicago and Washington DC), the Vinitaly Tour will return to the USA in February with the following events:

¨ Miami, February 9 & 10 – Seminars and guided wine tastings for trade and specialized media, as well as walk around wine tastings and social events.

¨ Palm Beach, February 11 – Afternoon dedicated to a walk around wine tasting for trade professionals, media and high end consumers.

Italy is one of the most interesting wine producing countries in the world with a vast range of different indigenous grapes and unique wines. VINITALY US TOUR MIAMI 2009 will allow visitors to gain a deeper insight of Italian wine production as producers from various different winemaking regions present the best of their production

The event will include educational seminars, guided wine tastings and walk around tastings which will give participating companies and international trade professionals the opportunity to meet, discuss and develop business relations.

Vinitaly US Tour Miami is open to all wine professionals (buyers, importers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers, restaurants, chefs, sommeliers, hospitality professionals and specialized media) interested in networking with producers of quality wines, olive oils and typical Italian products.

At certain moments in the program, the doors will also be open to consumers and wine aficionados will also have the opportunity to participate in several exclusive tastings over the three days of event.

Entrance to all events, seminars and tastings is complimentary for trade professionals and accredited press. An entrance fee will be charged however to the general public. Special discounts are available to Biltmore Hotel Premium and Cellar Club members as below:
